White Ibisauras, what an ugly bird. I am in love.

Caspian Tern, the biggest of all the Tern species, at Hickling yesterday. A bird that is seen yearly here in Summer, but are very scarce, with only a few every year. Heavily cropped, but a nice lifer bird.

He's a Pied Wagtail, not a White. White, which are actually just a sub species more common on mainland Europe, have a fully white head.
Thanks Kev, I'll make the correction to my post.

And another non-endemic, the white-rumped shama (basically it is an invasion by now; j/k)

I wonder if these taste good? They don’t mind coming close.

Ibis along the back fence. I really wish I had a good zoom like all of you bird photographers!

My 1.4 TC came in late afternoon and believe it or not all the cute little songbirds vanished and the weather turned cold and windy.

So here is one of my favorites, the first photo taken with the TC, the mourning dove

Your opinions please, thank you.
The colors are nice, complementary to the bird, and the grain in the shot isn't bad at all considering you're using the teleconverter and ISO 5000.

Hi, Chaitali,
Congratulations on getting the TC1.4. I hope you have a great time exploring what you can do with it.
This looks good, and I like the composition.

When I started using my TC2.0, I had to
  • Practice holding the camera steady hand-held so I don't have to push up the shutter speed too much to compensate for the longer focal length. Of course, that's a challenge with the additional weight and the change in the balance of the lens.
  • Learn about the features in Capture One for sharpening and noise reduction.
I'm still working on both.

Manual focus, is it?
no auto with lea-4 adaptor which is quite limited compared to the lea-5 but Sony have opted not to give auto focus to the a9 with the lea-5 with screw drive lenses
