Birds Birds Non-BIF Thread - Post Your Shots Here

Tim just wondering if I should get rid of the crappy low megapixel a9 and the adaptor?
I'd get rid of anything that isn't E Mount and G Master. Don't even try to sell them off, no one wants that crap. Just toss it all in the bin.

My first shot with my new Sony a7RV and 200-600mm G lens. Pine Warbler at the feeder.

A Goldcrest, the 2nd smallest bird in the UK, and notoriously tricky to photograph as they don't sit still for more than a second. Git a bit lucky with this shot.

It was rainy the day I received my a7RV and 200-600 lens so I was glad that yesterday was a much nicer day to get out and test the equipment. I drove to a local nature preserve and saw a few birds out and about.

Song Sparrows were everywhere.

Great Blue Herons are preparing their nests.

I like having the 61mp so I can crop pretty heavily and still get a usable shot of these Wood Ducks way out in the lake.

Still playing around with figuring out best focus options. I was able to get this Golden-Crowned Kinglet among the braches after some patience. They don't stay still for long.

Another heavy crop of a Red-Headed Woodpecker.

I got a kick out of the wind was messing with his 'do'.

The softness in the focus near the bird's foot is because I shot this through some branches and the wind moved a branch into the frame.

250% crop.
