New hobbyist. I have family running in a 5k and a half-marathon soon. Wondering which lens you'd recommend. I have a 3.5-6.3/18-200mm with OSS and a
4.5-6.3 70-350 G OSS. I'm thinking the 70-350 but began to panic so thought I'd ask those of you who have shot runners previously for your recommendation. TIA

Since both have the same aperture values, I'd go with whichever is the lighter one so you can follow your subject with your camera if you're not using a tripod. Remember to follow through, swinging your camera to follow your subject before and after you press the shutter button in a smooth fashion. Punch up the shutter speed so you'll get sharper photos. Set photo mode to burst mode so you can just hold down that shutter and sort through the pics later (paparazzi mode!). I haven't photographed a lot of sports, but that's what I did when the air force had a flyby near my house last year.
