This is about half the size of the Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat .
But this one in particular has an evil side to him. The owner who knows him so well touched him and held on to his back
And it then turned into a Tassie Devil/Wombat. I think if it actually bit someone it would take a chunk of skin away from you.
So even though small it has a lot of fight to it.

There was a couple of them in the billabong zoo at port Macquarie. They were having a squabble. The noise would be upsetting if you heard it at night!

I only seen one of these at the Tassie Zoo but I think there are a few more it was just that we never seen them.
The one we did see I was able to give it a scratch on its back and the little bugger laid down so he could enjoy it even more.
