Fall...Autumn...call it what you want, but post your photos!

Things are really winding down. A few pockets of color or green, but the early brilliant colors are giving way to burnt oranges, golds, and browns.

Our leaves have all left the trees. Hard frost this morning. We had snow a week or so ago, it's gone now. May try and go out for a camera walk today, but a big football game at noon (Michigan Vs Ohio State), and a second Thanksgiving dinner may dictate the day. My LA-EA4 is supposed to be here today.

I really like the grasses in your first photo. When there is a slight breeze and they sway in the wind it is mesmerizing. Great shot.

Thanks. Those are Phragmites. Invasive, garbage. They overtake everything and destroy native plants like cattails. Can't hardly kill them. They won't let you poison them because they grow in wet areas and it will poison the water. There are people that live on lakes that have completely lost their view. Beautiful to look at, but dangerous plants.

Thanks for the info. I have found that since getting into photography I am becoming more aware of wildlife, plants, trees and waterways around me. The great benefit of this sight folks sharing their knowledge. Just looked those buggers up on Michigan State site. I am no longer a big fan of Pragmites austalis!

Good eye on that one!

That there is the front of a camellia garden near my place. My thrash ground for insects and flowers. With all the leaves on the ground, it's the only time I've ever thought it would make a nice image. I took the 16-35mm along at the last second, lucky...

Any idea what those first 3 trees did to be jailed?
