I am using centre focus, is this the best for small birds. I am trying to focus on small birds in trees. On the Nikons the centre was a small focus point.

Hi Ian I use centre focus and never really had any problems with it no doubt everyone has their own ideas give it a try and see how you get on if it works for you good

Thats what I an using but find it tends to catch the leafs at the edges of the focus area and not the bird. Maybe I am asking/expecting too much from it.

Is it centre fix or centre fix tracking you are using Ian

I have just done some tests and found that the flexible small works best for getting small birds in trees.
