Yes, not the first time I've started nor participated in a Halloween thread. Most Brits seem to disregard it. I've had some Australians mention that it's gaining popularity there. It's become the second most popular decorating holiday here, exceeded only by Christmas. I actually put out more for Halloween!

The City I live in hosts a scarecrow contest each year. Downtown businesses are encouraged to create a scarecrow and support it on a street light pole or street tree. I captured this happy fellow on my walk:

Here's a video from my set up last year. This year is similar, but I replaced the skeleton bride and groom with a werewolf, and added a spiderweb archway at the door. Sound on!

A few from our local Tamfest. unfortunately, as they say in Scotland it was a very Showery Dull and Dreich day but a fun time in the rain

Since 2015 Tamfest has grown into an enchanting experience for the entire family. Each year a line from the epic poem is chosen as the subtheme to keep the festival fresh and offer new insight into the characters and explore the story of the Tam o’ Shanter.Tamfest is Ayr’s spooktacular Hallowe'en celebration with a Tam o’ Shanter twist.
