Lilac-breasted Rollers are carnivorous, and when ever we see a bush fire, we know that there will be plenty of birds hungrily attending, in the hopes of scooping up insects flushed out of their hiding places by the flames... ;)

Tim, this is a great capture - you might wanna consider sticking it in the wildlife forum - Birds sub forum for more like minded people to see.

We have lots of awesome birds here in Africa... Especially when they wear their "party clothes" aka: Breeding colours in Spring / Summer....
