I just wanted to see if I could use the 7Artisans M39 > E Mount adapter as a basis for some macro photography. Yes, I can. Using the 16mm and 10mm Vello extension tubes and the 7Artisans adapter and a Voigtländer Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 II MC Lens I can get pretty close. Lens was at f/16. Pocket knife. I will have to try some other lenses, like a 1955 Jupiter-8 50.0 mm f/2.0. If the Jupiter interests you follow this link: https://www.legacyoptic.com/jupiter-8-50mm-f2.html
