Did you use manual settings for the bird pic? I'm curious why you chose 1/1600, were you anticipating the bird flying off?

yes manual I always shoot manual and had the light been better and there the iso lower I would have set 2000th for shutter speed that is my go too speed.

I appreciate the info. Last time i used my 200-600, in fairly good lighting, my pics were not as detailed as yours. I used 1/1250. I will try again using a faster speed to see if that helps mitigate vibrations or shake. Thanks.
