A Corroboree was held at the local beach yesterday to mark the commencement of reconciliation week. It commenced with a smoke ceremony followed by traditional dance. Very few speeches which is my preference!

Good shots of the day and well done on capturing the action with the camera.
Not that I agree with all the carry on though but lets not make this political and just enjoy your shot of this day out.
Well done.

If you actually didn't want to "make this political" Ralph, you could have just left the first sentence and clicked post reply.
Your comment is disingenuous.

You can think what you like as it is a free world and I am not going to change that but you are wrong.
And it is the last I will say on this as I do like the shots posted

I’m not sure where you’re coming from Ralph. You might be confused, but this has nothing to do with “The Voice” referendum. This event has been celebrated on the beach for the last ten years, marking the commencement of Reconciliation Week. History is served well to acknowledge the race of people who have inhabited this land for 60,000 years or more despite British attempts at genocide over the last 200 years. That’s not politics, it’s an uncomfortable fact.

Oh dear, Anglophone nations have been in such a pickle since the start of 2020 - I wonder who could it be behind the curtain pulling the strings!

It isn't just Australia going thru these struggles i.e. --- it's global

More an observation than anything else - heck, maybe it is all just a coincidence
