Birds Straited Grasswren

These as smaller then the house Sparrow and they are not supposed to be out in the open as this one was.
Normally if they see people they hide the sneak out and not seen again. But as you can see this one was happy \.
I really do feel blessed to get shots like this and to show others just how lucky I was.

wow, look at how well he blends in with the brown vegetation, I might have missed him at a distance!

It was the tail movement that caught my attention and I followed and got them.
I have been told, that about 30 years ago they were quite easy to find.

But cats and foxes have made life hard for them and now its rare to see them.
So I am on the very lucky list to get this many shots of one.
It has come to the point where people no longer tell where they find birds on the endangered list here.
The reason why is people go out bush don't care were they drive or walk.
I have seen that with my own eyes.

So as Terry Mc Cann from Milder would say I am staying Stoom.
