My cats are my models and the new camera and lens are great fun. These are just for starters. Unfortunately they blink whenever they see me , which is cat 'hello', so trying to get them with their eyes open is hard.

How many different cats are there? Looks like at least three. All fawn, though, making it harder to tell. Are all of your cats fawn?

There's 3 cats in this batch. I haven't got a picture of the 4th with the camera yet. One is red, another is cream, which is a dilution of red and sort of beigey sandy colour, and one is chocolate tortie, but she's quite pale apart from her face. The kitten is red, but she's quite pale at the moment. She'll darken with age and the difference between her and her cream older sister will be more obvious. My other cat is lilac..which is a warm grey.

I put these in the hello thread by mistake...they are from 2021 with the lovely cats we had then and taken on a Sony A77ii with a Tamron 90mm for Minolta and a Sony APS zoom.

When I was owned by cats they were Abyssinians, and each was a distinct colour. One was a fawn in some standards, and a lilac in others. I think blue is always blue, but tawny = “usual” (!), and cinnamon = ruddy (I may have the last two mixed up - it has been quite a while).

So please forgive my mixing up the colours. They are all beautiful! You have done well to capture these.

I get confused too …they are all tonally very similar until Rosie’s red bits get more intense. I had three dark brown boys over the years and they contrast with lilac red and cream beautifully, even more than the dark steely grey of blue. Rosie and Lily have stripes all over their legs due to the tabby ginger cat 0 gene :) This is a major fault for Burmese and means they couldn’t be shown ( not that I want to ). They have tiger legs !
