These threads can be fun provided there's participation. Not a competition, open to any camera (even the occasional non-Sony), but no cellphones! Post what you believe are your top three shots for the month. The only rule is they MUST have been taken in October. If this catches on we'll do one every month. Someone usually starts these shortly after the first of the month, but it's still early enough in November.

Please remember to react to other's photos! Participation is posting and responses are what makes a thread a thread. Doesn't have to be a comment, a simple like is fine.

I have a mixed bag this month:

I didn't shoot much in October because I had cataract surgery (one eye first then other eye two weeks later). The good news is I can see again! (Truly amazing how they can do it, and it's such a quick and painless procedure).

I did go down to Tombstone at the end of the month with a photo group, but I was only using my Nikon D850 so I will not post them here on a Sony forum. However I am enjoying seeing all of your photos and look forward to more.

Cataract surgery is the best.. I had it done 10yrs ago, now only need glasses for reading…

It seems to me that this Forum has a rule that the photos are to be shot with a Sony camera. Did the Forum Boss change the rules?

Utter nonsense! Based on the circumstances you and your Nikon are excused. Post the shots!

Forum police!

I was super happy with my images this month and would be happy to put any of about twenty up.
It's usually a challenge for people who shoot regularly, then some months you may not have anything.

Doc says my left eye is ready, and it's noticeable. He wants to wait another year until the right eye is a bit worse, something to do with the insurance company not trying to deny. I'd like to do the left eye now. I've heard of people unknowingly over-sharpening their photos because of cataracts so I try to be aware when I'm processing.

I liked being able to get them both done in sequence, so if you can wait I think that is the preferable option.

I've never wanted kids mate, my life literally evolves 100% around my hobbies and passions.

Cool thing with my photography is my missus absolutely loves coming along with me. I gave her my RX100 a while ago but she quickly worked out that she has no desire to learn how to use the camera. So she got some Nikon binoculars and has as much fun with those as I do with my camera. It works out really well.

A year into this photography stuff and I haven't slowed down one bit. It's always pure excitement heading out every weekend with it. Admittedly, the funniest thing though, is how much I've learnt about myself through my camera (if that makes sense).

You should be happy with your images this month - those are great.

I truly appreciate these kind words, Fred. Means a lot to get great feedback from good people like yourself and others on this forum. I've never used social media before so it was a bit weird for me to begin with, but it's a fantastic little community we have here. 😊

I've not posted as much as I've been busy, and I haven't been out much, but these are definitely in the top 3 for last month. Good thread Tim.
