Sony Ambassador Mark Galer has just posted one of the most detailed reviews so far of the new Sony FE 200-600 F5.6-6.3 G lens.
He also compares the 200-600 with the 100-400 + 1.4x teleconverter and it appears that the 200-600 is a little sharper at 600mm than the 100-400mm is at 560mm with the 1.4x. However, he also noticed that the 200-600 was missing focus on a few more shots compared to the 100-400.
You can find Mark’s sample photos from the 20-600 over on his Flickr account.
You can also join Mark’s YouTube Channel as a paid member to receive personal support and participate in live Seminars, receive priority Q&A support (all your questions answered) and be able to upload images to a community forum to receive feedback.
I’ve pre-ordered the 200-600 myself and can’t wait to get my hands on it! 🙂
If you already own the 100-400 + 1.4x are you still tempted by the 200-600? Or will you be stick with the 100-400? Let me know in the comments below.
