Liked the black and white and leading line of the mountain scene, the landscape scene I was a bit more challenged by where to look, couldn’t really identify with a focal point in the image but can see the light trail off to the left...nevertheless a nicely shot image also

Actually at site the B&W shot was harder to get due to struggling more to find a composition with the clouds/mist and the lines of the summits.
The landscape however was more of an aha-moment.
I reckon it's easy to see the obvious when it's all pretty - but when you need to work a bit more for the picture the outcome could actually become better in the end - something for me to take with me; Don't just go for what's severed in front of you.

Yes you are correct sometimes the best scene is right in front of you.. Just needs a bit of moving around to find it.
