Great shots! That 200-600mm lens is really pulling at my purse strings. I know it is the person behind the camera that takes the shot so how did you get that bird to flip that berry in the air like that?

Beautiful images Malky , are you seeing any evidence of larger numbers, as the birders are expecting to hit the UK this year......?

Normally they arrive in Shetland and then, after demolishing all the berries in Scotland, move down the northeast coast...I am waiting to travel
to the UK once thy are in or near to the North East of England.

You only live once and you wouldn't be disappointed with the 200-600mm Sony.

The 200-600 is great. It is currently the only Sony lens I own (along with A74), which I bought after renting it. My other setup is Nikon F (two D850 bodies with 24-70 and 70-200), but I sold my fixed Nikon 500PF because I wanted the versatility of a zoom and this Sony was the best option. The only downside is it is a bit big and heavy - not unwieldy, but if you are not used to big lenses you may want to try one before buying.

It goes with the territory, if you want 600mm you have to be ready to carry it around. I never use it as a walking lens. It's a sitting/event lens.
