First day out with the 400-800. Wow, it sure helps bring things in closer. I need to get more used to it and keep it as steady as possible. All of these shots were hand held. These photos are nothing amazing, but I did find five different species down by the Deerfield River. Not bad considering there are over 11,000 species in the world. I have posted multiples of the Common Grackles because I really like that one where it is staring right at me looking very bad ass and the first one where it took off. That Cardinal just would not face me. That last Grackle really shows its colors. Anyway, I have a long way to go, but the new lens is helping. Plus, I got a great upper body workout.
