Last week I attended a conference at One Canada Square. The venue was on the 39th floor. Unfortunately, I didn't have my SONY with me, but I did have my IPHONE 14 Pro, so I managed to get a few photographs from the 39th floor over looking the Thames and London - unfortunately, all are through windows. The first two are looking WEST at about 18:00 and the last two are looking EAST at about 08:00. The views are on topic as the conference was about tall building fire safety.

I didn't have much time to do any serious editing of the photographs, I just used the microsoft Photos tool to do a little cropping.

Those last two looking down are cool.

Thanks Richard. I particularly like those shots as they look like a scene from my evacuation modelling software EXODUS!

I have a photo that I took many years ago looking down from the top of St Paul’s Cathedral.

I found it. This was taken with my venerable Pentax K-7 in 2010. I'm guessing that is the memorial to the Great Fire Of London.

Hi Richard, great shot. This is Paternoster Square. The monument commemorates both the Great Fire of London (1666) and the fire storms that occured during the Blitz (1940), both of which destroyed the area - but St.Pauls survived the blitz, through the grit and determination of the fire wardens who worked tirelessly during the height of the blitz. I believe the column is also a ventilation shaft for an electrical sub-station underneath the square. The monument to the Great Fire of London is at the junction of Monument Street and Fish Street Hill in the City of London - and this monument was erected in the early 1670s.

Yes, I seem to remember an earlier memorial. I probably have a photo of that somewhere too. Would I be right in saying that would be on the other side of the Cathedral? I seem to remember seeing an old photo looking through the smoke of a German bomber flying over St Pauls.

Yes, the Monument is almost diagonally opposite Paternoster Square on the river side and furhter down towards London Bridge.
