Birds 3 manual 3 shutter mode

The first 3 shots are in Manual mode and the other 3 are Shutter mode.
I am not sure which has worked out better. So honest answers please.
I am the one who take one step forwards and 2 back it seems.
I get angry with myself over this as I have been doing this long enough but I know this is the camera for me.

Photos = 1 Eurasian Coot, 2 Same as 1st but a 2 day old young one, 3 Little Pied Cormorant, 4 Dusky Moorhen, 5 Young Australian Magpie, 6 White-faced Heron.
