Sony A6500 30 Minute Limit

Has anyone found a way to allow the a6500 to record for more than 30 minutes. Want to use one on an alter this weekend and don't want to sneak up there in the middle of the service to stop and start it!

I've not heard of a workaround I'm afraid. You could try using the Imaging Edge mobile app to stop and start the recording at a convenient moment to reset the 30 minute limit.

I've only seen the installation of the OpenMemories Tweak app which allows you to switch off the 30 minute limitation completely.
It's not a Sony approved process and may void any warranty should things go a bit pear shaped. Here is the github page with info on the app.
