CC Welcome
  1. Yes
A very early start with Dave on Wednesday, and only a few shots worthy of keeping as the early light is not the best for keeping ISO low. or sensible. I think the next time I go it will be mid-morning and hopefully better light. That said, the sunrise does give a golden glow on the Knot as they leave the flats when the tide pushes in. There are well over 100,000 Knot there now, plus countless Oystercatchers (last photo) and other birds. Seeing them cram in on the pit is amazing, and also a bit of murmuration over the pit too this time, hence the back lit shot. will leave you to decide on the shape made in picture 4. I think they were telling the bloke that walked in front of us what they thought of him... :D

Thanks Mark. No more good ones this year now, or none that the RSPB consider good, though I suspect there are a good few that will push the birds up. Anything over 7m. The RSPB have a list for next year. I've attached it.

Excellent captures Kev.. looks amazing and a sight to behold..

Awesome shots Kev! Just wish it wasn't on the other side of the country for me! One day maybe :)

Great set Kev , agree with you on the light on the Wednesday but as you say still a breathtaking spectacle

C'Mon Tim thats no excuse I go every year :LOL:
LOL :) - Truth be told the wife wouldn't be best pleased with me if I left her for a couple of days to look after our two little angles by herself. Our oldest will be 3 next year, maybe I'll get him a camera for his birthday :)

Cheers Steve. I will definitely make it to a mid morning tide next time I go.
