The group I have very little to do with went out and got this bird and I was unable to go as I had all my teeth out.
So once I was given the all clear I had a fair idea on where they went and went out on my own looking on Friday.
I never seen it but I got many other birds and I was going through them when I got bored as I always do and decided to go out again.
I started out and I had a good feeling about this quick outing and I went up a track and there was water across the dirt road for about half a kilometer.
Where I stopped was by a tree and looking to my right I could see this white shine through as the branches moved.
I go out and in the paddock there it was. I finally found it and I took a heap of shots.
It flew away to another tree and this really pushed my lens even harder but there I seen that it had returned to its partner.
So a good day but my car is covered in mud.

Beautiful birds. Nice shots Ralph.

Thank you for what you have said. I have got bad shots of this one before but I was even further away then. This time I was closer and I think it shows. I am raptor shy in my folders so with more shots I am very please to get them.

Beasts those guys! Great shots, definitely worth getting the car covered in mud! ✅

It really was and I would do it again to. From what I have been told is that they are getting ready to breed and if this is the case I have got a good idea where the tree is, just need a longer reach to get a little closer. Thanks for looking.
