You don’t hear much about the BT tower these days. I guess it’s been “swallowed up” by tall surrounding buildings these days. A bit like the much older AWA tower in Sydney.

It's a listed building so its protected.
 
Yes, I actually knew that. So is the AWA tower. It was built in 1939 and was the tallest building in Sydney for almost 30 years. I have a photo of it somewhere that I think I took with my RX100. I’ll have to see if I can find it.
 
BT Tower was built in the 1960's. It survived a devastating IRA terrorist bomb attack in 1971 which went off on the 33rd floor. Luckily no one was killed.

Thanks Chris, I like that one too. I think the other views are somewhat unusual views of the Tower, particularly the second one, clearly showing the pedestal it stands on.
