This Buff Tip Moth is my favourite moth because the camouflage is absolutely incredible. They favour Silver Birch trees. of which we have a few in the garden, and this chap was in my moth trap this morning. Just look at those markings, it just looks like a broken branch and you'd be hard pushed to find one on a Birch. I've attached a Silver Birch pic for your reference.
The shot was taken after I managed to transfer him to this twig I use sometimes. He's still there now (9 hours later) as they go dormant in daylight. Anyway, a marvel of mother nature.

Yes it is. Here's a shot from today, as I had another in the trap, that shows the disguise better as it is near the end of the broken twig.
