Quite an adventure, flew in to Kigoma from Dar es Salaam, followed by a 5 hour 200 km trip over some really bad gravel roads, to arrive at the literal end of the road, where you transfer to a boat for an hour cruise on Lake Tanganyika, to the lodge. Two mornings spent hiking on forest paths in extremely high humidity. First morning we found two large males up a tree and had to sit around for nearly 2 hours, before they decided to come down. The second day, we found a large family group, who decided to go off the path, so we followed, making our way through dense forest, with our guide having to chop away with a machete to allow us to pass, but once they stopped, we were able to stay around with them for an hour, watching them and especially entertained by the young ones playing.
