I almost always use the electronic / silent shutter on the a9 and the a1 as there is little risk of any rolling shutter effect thanks to the very fast sensor read out speed. I prefer to keep the audible shutter sound turned on though so I know when I'm actually taking photos. I'd only use it with a none stacked sensor camera such as the a7IV or a7R IV if I needed to be very quiet and my subject was fairly static.
