Shot this a during a city wide power outage. My wife had stepped outside to see how many of the neighbors didn't have lights and came back to tell me I needed to check out the sky.
Grabbed my camera and got this. ISO3200 13sec Rokinon 20mm f/1.8 Sony A7II

So you'll be arranging for some further power outages soon then! ;)

I would love to get a shot like this and noticed the camera you are using and it is the same as the one I will be getting on Thursday.
If I can do this as good I will be happy.

Hope you have a fast lens!
There was a lot of post production that had to be done.
Dark skies are essential.
Best of luck and can't wait to see what you can do!

I think I have bought a fast lens but not fully sure.
Though I will try to get close to what you have got.
And either way its something for me to aim for and this is the real good part.
As now I know my camera is up t this.
Thanks for the extra info.

Thats a lovely capture! Well done. Astro is very high on my agenda for something I've not yet had the chance to have a go at but really want to! The Sony 20mm f1.8G is on my shopping list!

Thanks Mike!
Astro takes a bit of planning. The moon & weather need to cooperate.
The Sony 20mm looks awesome. It wasn't even on the radar when I got my Rokinon.
Looking forward to see what you are able to capture.

I would say you knocked it out of the park for your first try. Great shot!
