Awesome planes. Lovely shots. I'd love to go on AirForce One, to see what it's really like inside.
 
I have shots off all of them. There were four AF1 airplanes there, , actually more including short-hop airplanes, from the first one through this one. I will do a photo spread of each soon. Unfortunately, they have all of the airplane interiors lined with plexiglass panels so you can see but not touch. Did you know that any airplane the President is on takes the call sign Air Force 1 while he's on it? The VP gets Air Force 2.

That particular airplane, SAM-26000, is the most historic. It's the one that flew Kennedy to Dallas and his body back to Washington. Lyndon Johnson was sworn in on it, and it flew a total of 8 sitting presidents.

Very cool. I saw what is probably the current AF1 sitting at O'Hare in Chicago when we were delayed coming home.
