I honestly think 10 is fine anyway. I have the RiV and that's what I use. I am sure that the a9 etc will grab a few extra choice poses at 20fps, but as the RV has an updated AF, I don't think you are really losing out there. I can't justify the upgrade until I fully retire, unless something really takes my fancy, but I do fine on what I have anyway. I was a Pentax guy too, I went from there to a Nikon shooting 8fps, even that was better.
