I am a recent beginner to macro; despite being a keen photographer for years, I have never owned a macro lens. I bought a manual focus, f2.8, 100mm Samyang lens as something of an experiment. Today I went on a photowalk with a local photographer to a garden. It was breezy, so moving plants was a problem. We didn't start until 10:30, so the insects were already warm and fast-moving. Given those factors, I am quite pleased with this shot. I used f32 and an ISO of 3200 all day in a bid to keep fast shutter speeds.
