Wasn't real sure in which one to put this under as it is also know as an amphibian.
These are our largest rodent but can be easily be seen as a Water Rat by the white tip on it's tail.
I have been lucky as I have seen 2 of them in the last few months and while many go to the same places birding have not seen it there.

These nice Ralph. An unusual beast. We have Water Voles that are just like big chubby rats, but they don't have a tail like these guys, it's just a normal rat like tail.

I actually did a little reading up and seen these Water Voles name come up but it never said a real lot in it so it is interesting what you said about the tail.

Thanks so much for that and your last bit what you put down was that these can go in either category so it was a choice I had to make on where to plae these shots.
