After all my excitement this morning with all the activity around my yard and getting the Pileated woodpecker I thought I’d had a pretty good day, little did I know it was going to get better ! Well it did when this beauty turned up..

Female. We had a nesting pair a few years ago, never did see the babies.

Nice shots!
Thanks for the clarification Tim.. I usually check myself but in my excitement I forgot..

Nice, I get very jealous of some of the exotic birds around other parts of the world and then I remember that some of ours are quite exotic, but familiar.

I've been to Toronto and Montreal but never into the Canadian countryside. Any recommendations?
