You are completely entitled to choose not to buy this lens. That's cool.I have owned the 28-70mm f/2 since December. It's a fine lens, and I have found I really like an f/2 zoom. It is a superb lens in the studio.I am looking forward to adding the 50-150mm f/2 to that - they seem like a natural pairing.I enjoy using f/2.
