Yes sony gathering steam but i kind of hope they do not become like a canon / nikon where innovation gets stifled .

SONY has their finger in so many technological pies that I believe they will not stop innovating. Back in ~65 they came out with the TV, Trinitron, that revolutionized color TV. They did the Walkman and several other endeavo(u)rs. They are innovative. They have lived in the consumer market for a long time and know well that fame is fleeting. I am betting on SONY for the long pull. And I have been buying SONY gear since the early 60's.
