Tomato pollination by unusual-looking bee

This is one of my many tomato plants in garden. This bee I noticed has two weird pouches on his legs. What are they?

Are these auxiliary fuel tanks for long flights? :oops: ....... Does anyone know what they are?

Of course not. He would need a waiver in order to exceed his Gross Weight limitation. And Gross does have several meanings. Leave it to you to find these things!
 
It's the pollen they gather from the plants, or air bags in case they crash.. you decide :)
