Tracking ON

I've been watching a lot of youtube videos trying to figure this out. When people talk about "real time tracking" does that mean Tracking ON in the a1 menu, or is that just what it's called in general.

Can't see how you can AF track otherwise.

It's the syntax I'm trying to get straight. On my a1 there are focus area choices starting with "Tracking: (wide,zone,spot,etc.)". Some youtube influencers seem to identify these as Real Time Tracking, others talk about Real Time Tracking with all the other non "Tracking:" areas.

Sony's PDF help guide doesn't use the term real-time nor do the camera menus so I don't know why you tubers do. Tracking is by definition real-time. The display lags on some mirrorless but not this one.
