Mobile Trooping the Colour dress Rehearsal in the pouring rain

Full dress rehearsal for Trooping The Colour (06/06/2026). I was not sure if I should take my Sony out yesterday for a day in London. It was the full dress rehearsal for Trooping The Colour (06/06/2026), but it was forecast to be pouring with rain, and I was going to be out all day, which included a trip to the theatre (to see Hadestown) and dinner. I decided againt taking out the SONY, which was a good move in the end, as it was pouring for most of the day, and we ended up doing some 20,000 steps. I managed to get a few shots of the rehearsal and then the parade back to Buckingham Palace along the Mall - when the sun came out for a bit.

I was miles away from Horse Guards Parade, way back in St.James's park so all the shots were with the 3x optical zoom, I was surprised they came out OK. However, I was quite close to them on the Mall as they made their way back to the palace and their barracks.

I did a bit of light editing, mainly cropping, in Adobe Express.
