At Edgelaw Reservoir I was at the far end as I sat down to enjoy my packed lunch and flask of tea.
I saw a small group of mallards swimming close to me and after some time they made their way onto the bank of the water.
I loved the way this trio of ducks had the textures and patterns of their plumage reflected in the water, I also felt as if the two ducks are gently interacting, almost as if sharing a secret or a quiet moment, it felt like an added beautiful layer of intimacy and connection to the scene.
