There were jokes around at the time about how you might carry it (or have it carried). I think the one I liked most was the suggestion that they offered a service to modify your car with a mount for the lens…

One of the scarier reports was that it came with a battery and charger because it could not draw enough power from the camera to move the focus group. I think that was true.

It also came with its own tripod, too, because it was so heavy.
