LOL I mean... Food Photography is a genre in and of itself, its not just cellphones snaps of dinner 😅

I've been youtubing a lot of food photography tips recently to learn more about the genre.
For example: @Gogogordy, Matt, I think the bowl in the bottom of the picture works better than the one at top because the camera is almost directly overhead, highlighting only the details inside the bowl and not the bowl itself. If you wanted to take it one step further, use a tripod and go for a narrower aperture so more of the ingredients are in focus.

I seriously want to do some serious damage to that dinner. Vietnamese food is a favorite of mine and I wish we had some restaurants in my area. Now I will have to post my Chinese meal.

I have posted this before but I am vain and I really like this out of focus photo, too, for the color, composition and the mood.

This is in a little restaurant in Seaside, OR, with good food and run by nice folks.

Are you sure it's "descending"? Are you denigrating the art that is food photography on instagram...
Food photography, for the purpose of advertising, no. Photos of people's lunch at Macdonald's, Yes!

Just teasing.

Besides, this is definitely a step up from Macdonalds - there's crockery, for a start!

What have you against trays and paper wrappers? LOL

Give me fish and chips in newspaper over that any day

Oh, lordy yes. And back in the day it was, " . . . and a sixpence extra chips." And the frying fat was as black as tar. LOL Great eating. And you can still get it, but it is paid in decimal now. No more tanners. ;o)

Sometimes you want something with a bit of class.

And no, the fact that you went to Macdonald's on a school excursion does not mean it had class.

Oh! Damn! That sets me down a few levels. LOL
