A big thanks to everyone who joined in with the golden hour photography challenge last month.

Now my apologies for starting this months challenge a little on the late side!

For this month I thought we could try a connections challenge after a suggestion form @Paul stuart

The connections don't need to be limited to people, but could also include wildlife or people and animal connections.

A quick Google Image search will provide some ideas for inspiration here:
https://www.google.com/search?q=connections+photography

This is not a competition so there will be no winners announced, it's purely for fun and self-development.

Simple Rules:
  • Sony cameras only please
  • No sky replacements, keep it real
  • Please don't post more than 3 separate posts, multiple images may be included in a single post
Have fun!

As it was my idea thought i would start it off with these two woodpeckers, adult feeding juvenile.

Beautiful shot Paul! I'd be happy to get just the one woodpecker, two feeding is definitely a bonus!

That's precious.

Not a technically great photo, there's too much grain and the backlighting made things difficult...
However, when I see the smile on my mom's face as she cuts her birthday cake with my dad, you can see 40+ years of love there, and I think that qualifies as a "connection"

Three images. First the girls chorus augmenting our local chorale. The second, the ladies who run the best and most famous fish and chips operation around. In summer the wait, take-out only, can be as long as an hour, standing on the sidewalk. It is worth it. The fish is Albacore tuna, fresh caught. The Bowpicker. The third is my old friend, Don, at lunch with our Wednesday lunch group. He died a couple of months ago so this pic is a gentle reminder of the fellow we lost.
