Not a criticism but if you are using light room or photoshop for birds with black heads /eye areas it can help to lift the blacks a little to define the eye

Your images is great as is but maybe its something to consider....

I use Capture One. Here are three versions.
Before (no work in post)

• ILCE-1
• Sony FE 200–600mm F5.6–6.3 G OSS (SEL200600G)
• 600.0 mm
• ƒ/6.3
• 1/500 sec
• ISO 125

After I had done some light processing, including lifting the shadows and blacks a little - this is the image I originally posted

• ILCE-1
• Sony FE 200–600mm F5.6–6.3 G OSS (SEL200600G)
• 600.0 mm
• ƒ/6.3
• 1/500 sec
• ISO 125

After raising the shadows and blacks more as per your suggestion

• ILCE-1
