Pure simplicity, crop only.
It is a shot of a set of open sided steps on the side of a bulk fuel tank painted white. The sunlight fell in exactly the right spot to place the shade as it is.

Hand held, not allowed to use tripod or set camera on floor and could not move directly under staircase, other than those limitations came out ok.
