Here's a quick roundup of Black Friday Deals for shooters in the US and UK. There are definitely a lot more deals in the US than the UK right now.

Please let us know if you have spotted any deals worth mentioning in your country, or if you have grabbed a good deal yourself!

Nice round up Tim. As usual the UK gets shafted :)

Yep :( Probably a good thing though as I really don't need any temptation to buy new gear!

True. I did get 20% off some Alphagvrd skins mind you.

I just buy grey imports and save way more :)
So I'm curious as to how many US based members here buy Gray Market items. How much is the savings (%) and what are the risks. I'm, sure there is no Warranty but how difficult are non warranty repairs?

All my previous Alpha kit was Grey Import and fortunately nothing ever went wrong with them. I was even able to part ex them with no questions asked.

I'd be interested to know for a couple of reasons, but I will clear something up first. All Grey Imports still have a 1 year warranty regardless. In some cases 3 years if you buy from Panamoz, but the slightly higher prices they charge reflect that, as it's an insurance backed warranty. I bought from E-Infinity, a well established company, and I have a full one year Sony warranty as you would get if you bought from a store. I saved £1700 on my gear, that's a couple of lenses, or one GM.

Here in the UK we pay more than you anyway, as we pay in pounds what you pay in Dollars, generally. That was great when the exchange rate was $2 to the pound, you could buy cheap in the US if you were on holiday, we did :) I do wonder if the grey importers operating in the US do offer a considerable saving over your retail prices.

I always buy grey,( usually from Pamamoz), normally I would buy my gear when visiting the UK but recently they have started delivering to Greece so its a win win situation for me.
