Select Subject AF

I'm a new Sony user with a7r 6 . I will have an opportunity to shoot some penguins as they leave the ocean and cross open beach to nesting site , any advice or experience please on best AF subject recognition setting , Bird or Animal , obviously they are technically a bird , but land base behaviour more animal .

choose "Animal / Bird" - cover all your bases Better than Auto, because it limits the camera, but not too much. That's my standard choice when I'm setting out to shoot wildlife.
