This Twelve-spotted Skimmer kept returning to some onion stalks in my home garden. I tried shots w both 200-600 and 135 GM; the 135 seemed much better for some reason. Wing tips out of focus, I still must practice w DoF.

Thanks Tim. As far as in-flight capture.... well... I'm going to wait for the a1-B release, which will have IEAF (Insect Eye AF).

Yes Mike,
great shots, the 7R iv coupled with the 135mm/f1.8 is a great combo.......the 135mm alone is regarded as one, if not
thee sharpest lens on the market and with 60 MP of resolution you can't go wrong.

As a birder, i have found since getting my 135mm coupled with my A1, i am using it more and more for my short to medium
range shots with unexpected high quality results.

In my mind the 135mm(albeit expensive) is a must have for those who wish to stay with the Sony lens line-up....

Hey, I missed your return! Lovely shots.
