Birds Black kite, right place wrong kit

So I have just got back from another cruise and one port was Gibraltar, a place we visit usually twice a year most years. as normal we visited the nature reserve and we were at the highest point on the rock 1902 O`Hara's gun battery a 206 ton decommissioned gun over looking the Gibraltar Straits at 1398 feet, facing north Africa. I was taking shots of the Straits and ships with the a1 and 24-70 mm g2 when I spotted a black kite at long range, 24-70 mm no use, so I handed that in a rush to my wife and grabbed the only other lens I had the old 70-200 f4. The bird was moving fast against a busy background and I had no chance to up the shutter speed so that stayed at 400th, I managed to just pan a few shots at long range, so here are some not the best I have added original shots to give some idea of the crop
