Hi everyone,
This past week has been a bit of a worry with an admission to hospital with a suspected stroke or transient one.
At the hospital I had two brain scans and an MRI, neither were conclusive in finding anything but at least nothing serious was discovered, however they still do not know what caused the pain in my head and the weird feeling in my head, I have been to my GP and on a course of meds for nerve pain and a referral to a neurologist has been requested.
A couple of days ago I spotted this “face” in a tree – a tangle of shapes, patterns and textures, a little battered by time and the elements. It stopped me in my tracks because it felt like a mirror of how I’ve been feeling lately, worn around the edges, but still standing.
Photography has always helped me make sense of things, and finding this face in the woodland was a small reminder that even when life knocks us about, there’s still character, depth and quiet strength in every line.
