In the past I have used the Sony 85mm f/1.8, Batis 85mm and Batis 135mm for portraits. Has anyone used the Sony 90mm Macro for portraits? What is your evaluation of it for portraits?
I don't shoot a great deal of portraits myself but I do know that it is quite a popular lens for portraits. Sony Artisan of Imagery Miguel Quiles shoots a lot with it. He has a video on it here:
And here's a shot I took with it just the other day of my son:
You are blessed with a wonderful son! Thank you for sharing the information. After looking over our library of photos, we decided to stay with Zeiss Batis 85mm and 135mm lenses. This is a photo taken of a staff member at a day spa while my wife was getting a haircut.

Thanks Jim. He's a good little boy - so far! I'm sure the 85mm Batis and 135mm will coninue to serve you well! The 90mm is quite useful as you are getting a great macro and a portrait lens all-in-one.
